Something funny...

...I muttered this at a breakfast meeting this morning and realized what a tremendously true 'funny' it was:

"Us Mennonites don't go off to fight in a war; instead we stay home and fight in church!"

No kidding. Mennonites are Pacifists? YEAH RIGHT! Anyone who thinks that hasn't ever "crossed the line" in an MB church (like suggested at a church meeting that we "sell that old organ since we don't ever use it anymore"). I love Mennonites. We have the best food, the most beautiful women, the craziest youth groups, the best self-deprecating humor, the most HILARIOUS family reunions and the most violent churches. Ironic. And NO! I was NOT the one who suggested that we "sell the organ", but my mom sure clucked about it for weeks. The person who said that also, all of a sudden, had very poorly behaved children from then on, and you know someone's kids are B-A-D when mom comments on children's behavior in Low German. LOL!
